very quiet, yet effective.

Our second story bedroom heats up to the mid 80's in the daytime. Rather than run the HVAC, we used a swamp cooler at night positioned in front of the 20 inch window until its motor died earlier this year. Our replacement cooler was not as effective, and much noisier, so we purchased this fan. After building a small shelf to place in the window frame and sill, this fan is amazingly effective, and wonderfully quiet for overnight operation, especially at the two lowest speeds. The spinning fan guard does a great job distributing the air. It's also quite stylish, needless to say.
